If your layer was in postgis, you would just need to use something like this in your data statement:<br><br>DATA "spoint from (select startpoint(the_geom) as spoint,id from mytable) as mytable using unique id using srid=-1"

MapServer itself cannot selectively display just one point from a feature. Perhaps there<br>is a Oracle function to do the extraction on the database side? PostGIS users might have<br>an idea that could be translated into Oracle.
