I used the method last year to render points from (and lines) from
SQL Server. The biggest problem is that Mapserver/OGR does not
implicitly use any spatial index when using a VRT entry of SrcSQL
(carefully read <a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://www.gdal.org/ogr/drv_vrt.html">http://www.gdal.org/ogr/drv_vrt.html</a>).<br>
