I changed listen_addresses back to the '*' and it still works which leaves me clueless as to why it didn't work before.<div><br></div><div>It may have been simply restarting the machine or restarting postgresql that fixed the mapserver failures.</div><div><br></div><div>Thanks again. Feels odd, I have "listen_addresses = '*' " in my PostgreSQL 9.2 postgresql.conf and Mapserver works as supposed. The wildcard * should include everything, including localhost.<br></blockquote><div><br>
</div><div>Yes, the wildcard '*' includes all available IP interfaces... so I wonder if his /etc/hosts has the line with the alias "127.0.0.1 localhost".</div><div><br></div><div>Just my 0.02¤</div><div>
