We are having a problem with the cgi mapserv executable.<br>
<br>
Some symptoms are <br>

<li><font size="-1"><font face="Arial">when calling with a valid
query string, a png is returned as expected</font></font></li>
<li><font size="-1"><font face="Arial">when there is an error in
the mapfile, nothing is returned. response headers show
"Content-Type: text/xml;" but there is no xml response data.</font></font></li>
<li><font size="-1"><font face="Arial">running mapserv on the
command line with </font></font><font size="-1"><font
face="Arial"><font size="-1"><font face="Arial">the same
query string returns the expected output.</font></font></font></font></li>
<li><font size="-1"><font face="Arial"><font size="-1"><font
face="Arial">running mapserv -v on the command line
returns "double free or corruption (out) Aborted (core
dumped)"</font></font></font></font></li>

This is on a compiled version of mapserver on RHEL8. The same
result with mapserver 7.6.2.<br>
<br>
Does anyone have suggestions on how to track this problem down?<br>
