Not required. OSGeo live can continue to use the old one if you want.

Thats fine. There is no reason for everyone to agree.

The external agency will provide a system in which sub-brands can
follow the logo and stay on brand which the sub brands/projects can
choose to use or not. This is the same scenario for sub-sites on the
site. This project will provide a framework to work in. Its up to the
communities, initiatives etc to work within it and be on brand ... or
not.
