Martin and others,

I am interested in helping improve the Proj4 library. Let me know what I
can do when the ball gets rolling.

Subject: [MetaCRS] Creating a MetaCRS Proj4J project?

All

Some of you may be familiar with the JHLabs Java version of Proj4. This

is a worthy effort, which seems deserving of continued support. I'm
wondering if there is interest in seeing this hosted under MetaCRS? If
so, I'd be willing to take the initial effort of migrating it into the
repository, and making the first few bug fixes 8^)

My goal with this would be to simply track Proj4 development for all
technical aspects of projection algorithms, CRS descriptions, unit
tests, etc. The hope is that this will minimize maintenance effort and
learning curve. There is some scope for improving the purely Java
design aspects of the library, but I hope this can simply follow
well-accepted Java best practices.

Is anyone else interested in helping out with maintaining this library?
