I have committed an update to the news section: figured the call for papers for FOSS4G was pretty important.

On my machine, re-making the PDF now results in a page that is blank except for an \hrulefill between the news compendium and the r.swisstopo announcement; I'm guessing that getting rid of the \hrulefill \clearpage line in the main .tex file will fix that all up, but I haven't mucked with that because I wasn't sure if pagination on my machine is going to match your system building the "master" pdf.
