Dear Forum members,

As you are aware, the Water Information Standards Business Forum is seeking comment and review on draft standards for hydrometric monitoring and for Acoustic Doppler Current Profiling.  The attached document contains details on the consultation process and how people can contribute to the review.

Please promote this call for review widely within your networks.  People can provide comment through an online discussion forum at aha.net.au/bomconsult <http://aha.net.au/bomconsult/> . Alternatively, review comment can be submitted directly to Mark Randall or Grant Robinson (details in the attachment).  Please note that we are also promoting this to the Australian Hydrographers Association membership.

As discussed at our Standards Business Forum meeting last November, a series of workshops to progress the review and endorsement of these standards will take place in May 2012. Workshop details will be posted at www.bom.gov.au/water/standards/projects <http://www.bom.gov.au/water/standards/projects>  and on Govdex once confirmed. We would like to include all comments on the draft standards in those workshops, so responses before Tuesday 10 April would be appreciated.
