general thinking on this issue OSDM has been discussing the metadata and
GeoNetwork issues recently and either later today or tomorrow, John Weaver will
post a message describing our thinking and suggestions for the way forward,
aiming to bring together the specific GeoNetwork related activities across
the community and also those indirectly related activities that impinge on
