<div dir="ltr">I wanted to follow up on this thread as I had commented on the lack of transparency. I had a chance to review the meeting minutes (<a href="https://drive.google.com/file/d/1PKhEZfvlppA3EgTugCGiZIRrFQxfjbJR/view">https://drive.google.com/file/d/1PKhEZfvlppA3EgTugCGiZIRrFQxfjbJR/view</a>) and from what I can see there seemed to be a fairly robust conversation on this issue. I may not personally agree with the outcome and/or methodology, but in hindsight, my comments on the lack of transparency in this case weren't fair. So my apologies to Board, and I appreciate the effort in documenting the meetings.<div><br></div><div>As a side note could an email be sent out after each meeting with link to minutes please.</div><div><br></div><div>Greg</div></div><br><div class="gmail_quote gmail_quote_container"><div dir="ltr" class="gmail_attr">On Tue, Dec 3, 2024 at 7:03 AM Graeme Fitzpatrick via Oceania <<a href="mailto:oceania@lists.osgeo.org">oceania@lists.osgeo.org</a>> wrote:<br></div><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin:0px 0px 0px 0.8ex;border-left:1px solid rgb(204,204,204);padding-left:1ex"><div dir="ltr">

next? As well as reviewing the next election process, I think we need
to go back to basics and review the appropriate structure for OSGeo
Oceania. I feel the structure that we put together 5+ years ago may not
be the appropriate structure now. From my point of view if we have to
exclude passionate people to lead OSGeo Oceania from outside Australia
because of arbitrary laws, then we have the wrong structure in place for
OSGeo Oceania to grow and thrive in the region.</div></div></blockquote><div><br></div><div>By my (not huge!) understanding of Aust Company Law, if an Aust company is trading outside of Australia, then it has to go down this path, which apparently didn't exist 5 years ago (or even 2!). Nothing we can do about it but comply, now. <br></div><br></div>
