Dear all,

good news:

The main FOSS-themed session in ESSI (ESSI3.5/GI1.5 "Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) for Geoinformatics and Geosciences") has once again received a significant number of submissions. Most of them seem to come from outside the OSGeo community. I see this as an indicator that there will be an interested audience for the OSgeo Live short courses. FWIW, it is still possible to sumbit an abstract via the "late abstract" mode.

The participants list of last years OSGeo Townhall is available in the wiki: https://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/EGU_Townhall_2015#Audience
This might be useful to inform researchers in advance of the conference about the upcoming short course (and hopefully the townhall [<-- Funding decision will be made by the OSgeo Board by the end of the month])

Best,
Peter
