In parallel the Australian Government recently announced the formation of a new $215M industry & government-funded Cooperative Research Center (the MinEx CRC [https://www.tectonique.net/3dgeologymodel/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/external_link16.png] ) focused on 3D drilling for discovery and definition of mineral deposits. These two linked initiatives are offering several PhD and postdoc opportunities at UWA, Monash University and the Geological Survey of Canada that may interest the 3DIG group.
