[OpenLayers-Dev] Geonetwork and Openlayers/Mapfish?

Openlayers developers,
LISAsoft has been hired to improved the User Interface for Geonetwork 
and we will be kicking off the project tomorrow.

Jeroen tells me that Camp2Camp has already been looking into building a 
GUI for Geonetwork. Is this true?
If so, what is the state of this Camp2Camp work? Where are you up to? Do 
you have anything that we can contribute to or build upon?
