Hey, Matt.

Step 1 would be to get your mapfile configured for WMS service -- not 
just serving up the pictures, but serving them up via WMS. If you've not 
done this already, hit up Mapserver's site where there's some very good 
documentation on setting up your mapfile to be a WMS server.

Step 2 would be to grab a OpenLayers WMS example, and start replacing 
URLs and layer names.

That should get you started, or at least to a point where you'll have 
something to ask about when it doesn't work. :)
