Sorry,

I draw this back. Eventually I discovered that my variables got lost 
because of a page reload and these line worked same way both in IE and 
FF. So actually IE was acting properly because it lost its state but FF 
somehow preserved variables (caching settings?). Never mind, I got it 
working.
