[OpenLayers-Users] Several control for several layers at the same time

Hi,

I'm using OL 2.7 and i wondering if it's possible to have several control
for several layers at the same time. For example, in my project  i'm using
the Select Control for several layers but i can only select on layer. 

I saw in this post

that there is a limitation for the control. Only one can be activate at the
same time.  Is they're a way or a patch to fix this limitation?

The solution proposed by Eric Lemoine was to regroup all the layers in a
same layer. But due to the way of my project is organize i can't do it in
this way.
