I suspect this is a rather general use case since people know their
objects because they're stored in their DB's with know PKs, so may I ask
why this is not part of the standard set of tools ?  I don't see much
use in looking up a feature by it's OL id.

Oh and BTW I just watched #1 of Crockford's "The JavaScript Programming
Language".  When I'm done with all 4, I should be asking less JS 101
questions ;-)
