[OpenLayers-Users] proxy security

Hi list,

in our OpenLayers application we want to give the user the possibility to
add any Web Mapping Service to their map. We'll be parsing the
GetCapabilities in the browser. So this basically means we almost need an
"open" proxy script, and cannot work with a list of trusted hostnames.

Does anybody have some tips on how to reduce the risks of such an open proxy?
