BTW, this summer a Google Summer of Code student has been working on a
ToscaWidget that maybe can fit your needs.

If this is Javascript, this is not valid. Maybe you want
{'layers': basic}  // (without the quotes)
Obviously the 'basic' layer needs to be created before.
