[OpenLayers-Users] Ticket #2080, Optical zoom bug

Hello folks!
I have a problem with an application when using IE7, the problem is exaktly as described in ticket 2080, http://trac.openlayers.org/ticket/2080

Does anyone know what causes this and could point me to a direction where to start searching for a solution?
Any information that can narrow down the search would be appreciated...
