[OpenLayers-Users] Need help to setting up proxy for openlayers

Hi List,

I'm a newbie to openlayers and need to setup a proxy to tryout my app. I use
apache server comes with XAMPP software bundle.
The explanation in this url (
http://workshops.opengeo.org/openlayers-intro/setup.html#setup) isn't giving
me proper sense about how to solve this issue.

1. Can I use apache in XAMPP?

2. How can I use Apache as a proxy server?

Please help me.
