[OpenLayers-Users] mouse-sensitive markers and navigate icon

I have a layer with mouse-sensitive markers on it.  I'm also
using the modify/draw/navigate buttons as in snapping.html.
As it turns out, the Navigation control must be disabled and
the SelectFeature control activated in order for the
mouse-enabled markers to work.  Navigation still works fine,
but none of the modify/draw/navigate buttons are
hightlighted.

This is somewhat of a nit, but how can I make the navigate
icon highlighted without actually activating the Navigation
control?
