[OpenLayers-Users] show two layers with different projections

When a server such as Geoserver or Mapserver can support more than one projection, OpenLayers needs to send a request to return each layer in the same projection used by your map, otherwise the server may not know to send it in the correct projection, in which case the data will not line up in your browser.

It seems that when I fail to define the polygon layer as EPSG:2249, it fails
to display.
