It seems the png file must use single-bit transparency which is supported by IE6.
The easiest way is to create 8-bit png files and set transparency. I used IrfanView to reduce color depth of my png files to 8bit and set transparency. Images are now ok on IE and FF.
Subject: how to use new images for zoombar and other controls

Hi listers.

I'm trying to improve the zoombar graphics and created a new 24 bit png with transparency set to a predefined color.

This works well in Firefox but not in IE6. What's missing? How can I replace the original zoombar.png with another image?
This also applies to north-mini.png and so on...

Thank you.
