One of the key points that I took from Karl Fogel's book on Open Source<br>
is on the topic of discussions in the mailing list:<br>

I appreciate you taking the time to make the ticket, but if we actually<br>
have disagreements, theyre probably best handled through the mailing<br>
list, and the result moved to the bug tracker as an archive, as a<br>
general rule.<br>
