upto now there is no solution within either OpenLayers oder GeoServer.<br>
For my web-based geoEditor i had to develop thsi function within my
java-backend and it works great.<br>
As Chris Holmes suggested in my postings on my geo-editor within this
list,<br>
i will spent some time and develop a plugin for GeoServer, even being
able to split a polygon by any linestring<br>
