What WMS server are you using? If it is geoserver, look up the section on Variable substitution in SLD and the Env function. This plus filters gives you a good way to play with styles. However, you can send the complete body of an SLD in a WMS request, but you would also need code to modify a base SLD based on what variable was selected. Not a biggy really.<br>
