 Ouch, somehow I had thought spatialite was packaged.

 Paolo, can you confirm that you really need the spatialite library linked
 in?  I believe GDAL/OGR still has fairly respectable spatialite data
 access even when just using the sqlite library.

 It not already being packaged is a big wrench in the works with regard to
 using spatialite in OSGeo4W.
