 When using d3 libraries builtin classed method, without initializing the
 class prior to this, a SegFault occurs at a random location in the code
 and therefore hard to debug.

 Most probably this is related to the following bug report.

 http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=57797

 Newer versions of webkit don't have this bug, so an update of the library
 in question should solve this problem.

 Workaround: before using classed (and probably anything that makes use of
 classList) initialize the objects class attribute with an empty string.
