Barry Rowlingson has very kindly volunteered to pull together a
skeleton for a PostGIS quickstart (after much pleading from me). I'm
really appreciative as Postgis is such a key application, and Barry
writes very well (you can see some of his handywork by looking at
the R quickstart and overview).<br>
<br>
Barry's question was what should go into a Postgis quickstart?<br>
"maybe something like 1: load this shapefile into postgis. 2: fire
up qgis, load postgis layer 3: profit??"<br>
<br>
I notice there is an outstanding ticket for a postgis quickstart
raised by Paul Ramsey here:<br>

</ul>
Is there anything else we should be considering?<br>
Should we use a PG Admin interface or command line? (We should be
targeting absolute beginners)<br>
