Bastian,
If possible, you will probably do better to use a WFS from
mapserver. The reason is that as far as I'm aware, mapserver
doesn't require the user to start the service before using it,
while goeserver does.

If you do need to make use of geoserver, then ensure that you
include "start geoserver" in the steps in the quickstart.
The test that fails is based on the first page presented to the
user after starting up 52NWPS.
The page is a tester and has a predefined WPS POST XML request.
So a user sees a "Send" button. This is where the outdated WFS
is located.
Pressing this send button fails.
OK, this is minor, but for a user with no WPS WFS experience,
this is the first thing he will try.
yes, good idea. The external WFS is a geoserver and a

Perhaps you could use a GeoServer WFS layer from

Thanks for the feedback Bastian,
So we have a couple of issues here:

1. The LiveDVD is referencing an external URL, which
means it won't work when offline. We aim to have the
DVD work even when offline.
Is it possible to make use of a locally installed
URL in its place?

2. If we can't get a local URL set up, who owns the
broken URL:
http://giv-wps.uni-muenster.de:8080/
Can we either get it back online, or alternatively,
find a more stable URL to replace it with?
Hi Cameron,

Hamish is right, the "problem" is the external
WFS. So, the WPS server is fine (and has not
changed). The test requests you send contain a non
working data link to an external WFS.

How do you test if some server is working?
How can we change the
