I wouldn't be surprised if gdebi is installed by some
applications, then uninstalled.<br>
I'm not in a linux environment at the moment, but you might want
to grep for gdebi in the bin directory to see if it is used by
other apps.<br>

running install_osm.sh script in a new updated ubuntu 12.04 VM,
I find the following problem when the script tries to install
gosmore:<br>

Does it make sense to add a comand in advance to install gdebi (
