Somehow I had the idea that the previous remastersys method was
still working on version 6.0.<br>

So what option do I have to create a customized iso now? If I
understand correctly, the build_chroot.sh script recreates the
whole default osgeo-live, rather than using the data and packages
installed in the current VM.<br>

The method you are trying is the old one and it is broken since
version 6.0 (last successful build was for v5.5).<br>
This has to do with a bug in remastersys<br>
