hey Angelos,
<br>
<br>
just tried. two observations:
<br>
<br>
1.
<br>
the disk is checked on every startup and finds one corrupt
file. doesn't say which though.
<br>
<br>
2.
<br>
noticed the Desktop Shortcuts are still sporting the
exclamation mark and are still asking for open/execution.
will this be fixed in the final release? setting the
executable bit and 'gio set myapp.desktop
"metadata::trusted" true' seems to work after a reload or a
new logout/login.
<br>
<br>
thanks.. ede

Hi,
<br>
<br>
The error reported on startup is just a checksum test for the
squashfs file which is obviously different from the original
Lubuntu file. We need to figure out how to disable this test.
<br>
<br>
The desktop shortcuts issue persists even after we added this
fix some time ago. Since the user is created on boot time, we
need to make sure this command is executed on login somehow.
<br>
</blockquote>
well. wherever this user creation happens (didn't dig), can't
you append a loop over (selective osgeo created) desktop items
there?
<br>
<br>
running something after login would usually be placed in
/home/user/.profile , but i'm not sure that this is faster than
the gui desktop loading.
<br>
<br>

About the check on iso startup I found this:
