I'll be there. Thank you for booking Christy.

On 19 April 2011 11:24, Christy Nieman <cnieman@dmsolutions.ca> wrote:
See wiki (http://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/Ottawa_Chapter#Next_Meeting). If anyone else is likely to attend, please let me know so I can increase the number of people in the reservation (currently made for "at least 10"). As it is, we may get bumped elsewhere by a party of at least 20, so the closer to 20 we are, the less likely it is that we'd get bumped.
Frank, it'd be great if you could answer questions about WCS.

Since no one has expressed preference for a specific day, how about we say we'll aim for May 5th. As long as I get no objections, I'll give the Fox and Feather a call next week.

As for my little presentation, here's what I'm thinking:

- Quick demos of what's new and exciting in MapServer 6.0.
- Show how to set up a WMS/WFS/WCS map served by MapServer
- Show how to have MapServer display WMS/WFS/WCS layers

If you were expecting anything more detailed about the web services, you'll have to pick someone else's brain :)
Christy,
Either day could work for me. I would be happy to answer questions
about WCS though I'm not planning to prepare an actual presentation
now. I have submitted a WCS related presentation for Denver and possibly
I could try a subset of it on our local crew in the late summer.

Best regards,
I'm not sure when the next meeting will be, but I was wondering if there'd be any interest in a presentation on MapServer 6.0 (currently on it's 5th beta release). Wouldn't be anything super huge, just a rundown and demo of things that have been added/have changed. I'm also willing to take requests, so if there's something you'd like to see and I know how to do it/am able to figure it out, feel free to let me know.

Also, with the NHL playoff season upon us, we may have trouble getting somewhere if we don't plan in advance and have enough people in attendance. I'd like to propose either April 28 or May 5, and if you're interested in attending please respond with a +1 for the day you prefer. Last time it was OK that we didn't have approx. the 10 we made the reservation for, but if the pub is busier, they will probably be less accommodating.

Cheers!
