It's been a while since I've used this but try passing your cookie as a parameter to WebCoverageService:
i.e. myWCS=WebCoverageService(myurl, version='1.X.X', cookies='mysessiontoken=123abc')

(I think you just pass a string if I remember rightly)

As to where/how the cookie is generated that is application specific so can't really help much...

Hello everybody,

My name is Iñigo Hernáez. In my job, we use OWSLib to retrieve geospatial data from a server. To download geotiff files we need to use the WebCoverageService function. However this needs a session cookie to work properly, but there is not enough information in the documentation on how to do this.

How is the cookie generated with the user credentials? How is it then used in the WCS function?
