The binary formats little endian and big endian are going to typically be much smaller than ASCII. Cloud compare writes binary format by default. PDAL writes ASCII by default.</p>

In comparsion to CloudCompare, the files sizes are huge but pdal gives the opportunity to batch process.<br>
