I'm comfortable with the amount being requested ($US403). However, as advice from someone who has attended conference stands, I suggest that you only have one banner. The reason is that if you need to fly/taxi/bus to a conference, then it is much easier if you only have one stand. And one stand still provides a professional image.<br>
With the extra budget that you save, you may wish to purchase other items, such as shirts, or LiveDVDs.<br>
However, I will leave you to make the final decision. Let me know your thoughts before we put it to the marketing committee for a vote.<div class="elided-text"><br>

As mentioned previously, costs from local supplier are cheaper so we<br>

for emerging Local Chapters who would like to to appear at a major event<br>
(conference, trade fair, etc) and represent OSGeo and need exhibition<br>
material. If you need a pop-up banner with OSGeo logo, table cloth, or<br>
other non-consumables to equip a booth please feel free to revert to the<br>
Marketing Committee for further information. To get an idea of what this<br>
is check the Exhibition Pack [2] page in the Wiki.<br>

We are as new to this as you are, so please do not expect that<br>
everything will work out right away, maybe we run out of funds quickly.<br>
