GeONG 2016: "Impact of humanitarian IM: Lessons from the past, shaping
the future" (17 to 19th October 2016, Chambéry, France)

Organized by CartONG every two years since 2008 in Chambéry, the GeOnG
forum gathers humanitarian actors and professionals specialized in
information management, including geographic and cartographic
information. It is dedicated to discussions, sharing experiences and
learning about innovative solutions.

The GeOnG is the biggest independent forum on this field in Europe. It
has gradually become a major event on issues related to cartography,
mobile technology, information management and more generally on the
uses of new technologies in the humanitarian and development sectors.

The GeOnG is composed of a combination of lectures and round tables to
discuss current issues in the sector, workshops enabling participants
to get training in the use of new tools, and sessions enabling project
initiators to present their ideas.
