So para acrescentar:<br>

A biblioteca GeoScript esta a ser desenvolvida no sentido de dar
mais potencialidades ao GeoServer em particular na implementacao do
protocolo WPS<br>
<br>
No caso da implementacao Python, o GeoScript eh um module em Jython
que chama a biblioteca GeoTools. Ou seja programar em linguagem
Python mas usando todas as classes e estrutura do JAVA.<br>
<br>
Para aplicacoes simples nao ha grandes problemas em usar o
GeoScript, mas para um uso mais intenso ja nao vale a pena usar, ja
que o Jython eh muito mas muito lento!!!<br>

Não sei se já conhecem esta biblioteca GeoScript. Deparei-me
com ela hoje e para quem desenvolve aplicações webgis pode dar
muito jeito. Permite por exemplo calcular buffers ou centroids
do lado do cliente, entre outras. Parece-me com muito
potencial!!!! <br>
