in exploring the growing potential of free and open source geospatial <br>

results obtained with free and open source geospatial software through <br>
presentations, hands-on workshops and discussions while enjoying the <br>

of open source geospatial software.<br><br>Workshops<br>----------------<br>
<br>The workshops will provide an in-depth overview and hands-on experience <br>
in a topic and related free and open source geospatial software. <br>Workshop leaders are researchers and/or core developers of the software <br>
and therefore well prepared to demonstrate and explain the software and <br>
its functionalities, and help the workshop participants learn the <br>installation and use of the software. Participants also get information <br>
where to find more information about the software, download it, and how <br>
to contact or join the development team.<br><br>Discussion Groups<br>---------------------------<br>
<br>The aim of a discussion group is to talk about an initiative, open <br>
source project, new research idea, or a joint collaborative research <br>
paper in the area of open-source in geospatial.<br><br>About Call for Papers<br>
-------------------------------<br><br>Please submit an abstract (1000 - 1500 words) on the abstract submission <br>
page. The abstracts will be reviewed by the conference scientific <br>committee which will decide on accepting the original submission as an <br>
oral presentation (full conference paper) or as a poster. A full <br>conference paper is then requested for each accepted oral presentation <br>
so as to be published in the peer reviewed conference proceedings. A <br>
subset selection of papers will be considered and assisted for <br>publication in journals.<br>
