Hallo Markus,

  IMHO, the PostGIS jdbc2 package can be seen as a different
project, it doesn't need any PostGIS library to be compiled
nor PostGIS relies on it to function.

  The only people interested in it are Java developers, which
I believe are much more confortable with ant then make.
