[postgis-devel] Proposal to drop support for PostgreSQL 8.3 in PostGIS 2.0

What I did not agree on was your statement that all those
wanting the latest and greatest PostGIS version would also
want the latest and greatest PostgreSQL version.  I did
not have any particular Postgresql version in mind, even
if the thread was on 8.3.
Regarding dropping support for 8.3 - I would not call
backports "default" Postgresql versions.
