 I wonder what we should do about such cases.

 Can see these posibilities:
  - Inflating missing dimensions to uniform toward ceil
  - Dropping exceeding dimensions to uniform toward floor
  - Refuse to apply the overlay to inputs of mixed dimensions

 What do you think ?
