Nice catch :-)
When we are here maybe we should also do the enhancement proposed in the
link above and split the different tests and do them in the right order?
Now we check for side and upward/downward even if the segment is strict
above or below the point which is meaningless.
The would also be more readable if we split it.
But that should only go for trunk of course.
