 I removed the -m1 parameter.  It was to ensure grep only read one line
 from the .opts command-line-options-for-the-test file, but you shouldn't
 ever have more than one non-comment line anyway so if you put two and it
 breaks, no big deal.  There didn't seem to be a "max-lines" option in your
 MinGW grep.
