 I guess you're right about it affecting geometry as well, but couldn't
 find the demonstration (which comment?).

 Teaching _st_expand() to the estimator sounds like an interesting project.

 Any chance to reuse more code between geometry and geography, to do less
 work ?
 Also, I think it's _very_ important to add some form of regression testing
 for this.
