 Chris,

 Thanks for the coaching.  I have the news up and the pdf is generated

 so 1, 2 are done.

 So just need to work out why the release date isn't changing from hudson.
 I think its as you said I changed the wrong job.  Probably have to create
 a new one.

 I'll let you know if I get stuck.
