I'll fix this to compile, but an error on make install looking for /usr/bin/mkdir which does not exist 

make[1]: /usr/bin/mkdir: Command not found
make[1]: *** [installdirs-lib] Error 127
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/baw/Downloads/postgis-2.0.0rc1/postgis'
make: *** [install] Error 1

/bin/mkdir
