 I'm fairly sure this came up in discussion earlier in 2.0 development (as
 the ISO-MM draft uses numbers like 1000000X in the copy I have) but
 still...

 If there isn't a standard then I guess all we can do is extend it using
 the principle of least surprise and document it. I like the comment in the
 patch, but I'm wondering if we do need a slightly more formal description
 of WKB types in the documentation so that other people can find it easily
 and use it as a reference?

 Also: isn't the patch missing an extra break statement?
